švelnusis saugumas statusas T sritis Politika apibrėžtis Valstybės nesaugumo problemos sprendimas remiantis ne karinėmis, o kitokiomis, t. y. ekonominėmis, aplinkosauginėmis, kultūros politikos priemonėmis. Daugiausia liberaliose tarptautinių santykių studijose vartojama sąvoka. Liberalai siekia atkreipti dėmesį, kad greta griežtojo (angl. hard) karinio saugumo ne mažiau svarbūs, o gal ir svarbesni, yra kiti valstybės saugumo veiksniai, kaip gera ekonomikos padėtis, švari aplinka ar kultūros klestėjimas. Realistiniu požiūriu, griežtasis saugumas ir yra tikrasis saugumas, be jo neturi reikšmės kiti švelniojo saugumo aspektai. atitikmenys: angl. soft security
